These terms govern your use of FutureLedger at futureledger.org, operated by Cogito Systems LLC (“we”, “us”). By using the site or creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What FutureLedger is

FutureLedger is a public record of predictions made by public figures and how they turned out, with accuracy scores calculated from those outcomes. It is provided for information and discussion only. It is not financial, investment, legal or professional advice.

Accuracy of the information

We work to record statements, sources and outcomes carefully, but some information is compiled with automated assistance and reviewed by people, and outcomes and scores involve judgment. We do not guarantee that anything on the site is complete, current or error-free. If you believe something is wrong, tell us at privacy@futureledger.org and we will review it.

Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• Give accurate information and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• You can delete your account at any time from your profile.
• We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or harm the service or other users.

Acceptable use

Do not:

• break the law, or interfere with, overload or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service;
• scrape or copy the site at a rate or scale that disrupts it, or bypass rate limits or security;
• impersonate others or use the service to harass anyone.

Content and ownership

The site, its design and its software belong to us or our licensors. Statements quoted from public figures and linked sources remain the property of their owners and appear for the purposes of reporting and commentary. You may share links to FutureLedger pages and quote short excerpts with attribution. Other copying or reuse needs our written permission.

Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cogito Systems LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Changes and termination

We may change the service or these terms. If we make significant changes to the terms we will update the date above and may notify you. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it. You may stop using the service at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Minnesota, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction.
